I bought six of these units and had one that had this happen on. After troubleshooting myself and then going through a company technician the conclusion was that the unit was defective. I returned it to Best Buy and got a replacement and had no issues. I did have two units that I had to perform a hard reset on (check the manual - it involves holding down the button before and as you are plugging it in) so if you haven't tried that I would give that a shot first. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem. after resetting the device it worked fine. I had to reset both the devices I bought. They are working great now and I am running an older version of android os - not Marshmallow.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also had this problem trying to set mine up using a phone running stock Android. I tried setup on a Samsung tablet running Android and it worked fine. So stock Android = No, Another device running some form of Android = Maybe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine was doing this as well. It seems in my case that when the wifi information was sent to the plug my android phone would not connect back to my wifi network fast enough to communicate with it. Once I told the plug to connect to my wifi network in the app I waited for my phone to disconnect from the plug wifi and as soon as I saw that happen I quickly went to my wifi settings and manually connectd my phone back with my wifi network. As soon I went back to the app it had successfully connected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It took me a couple of tries to make the registration work. Try resetting the device to factory default settings per the instruction sheet and trying it again. Remember, you must have a Best Buy online account to make the software work on your phone before you try registering your device. Also make sure your phone is close to the plug when you register it.
