• yes it does work with the D5200. that's the same camera I use it with. ooh I see this question is from a year ago... lol, well it popped up on my screen so I answered it. lol

• Sure is. Worked right out of the box. Just pulled Battery slip out and turn on the function in my Nikon D5300 Menu and viola

• This remote is compatible with the D5000 series. You have to change the shutter menu to "remote" from within the camera menu.
