I have this disposal installed with a switch on the wall; however, I had my contractor install a plug under the sink to plug the device in. My assumption is you would just need to replace the power cord to hard wire it. Hope this is helpful.

Im sure it's possible to splice a hardline connection into the existing wiring, but I doubt the basic installer would accept that laibility. I would ask Best Buy if there's a conversion kit available to cahnge it over. Otherwise it likely wouldnt be too expensive to install a switch-metered outlet on the existing wiring, but I doubt the generally installer could dp that as part of the basic install. You'd need to get that done ahead of time.
