I sold my X3 and bought the X4. The video quality is much better. Microphones are better. Screen is slightly larger. And the interface is faster.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Out of the box the x4 captures higher resolution video and has a longer battery life when set to the same video resolution as the x3. If you do not already have the x3 it may be worth going directly to an x4. That said, the x4 is larger and slightly heavier than the x3. It is also much bulkier with the lens cap on becuase the lens cap was deisgned to go over the lens protectors. For my use the x4 was worth the difference in cost because I wanted the additional resolution, and the x4 camera does produce higher quality footage even though the image sensors appear to be the same in the two models.
