• Hello Mike1942. The air fryer basket base is made of aluminum with a ceramic coating. The base should be used on the bottom of the basket when air frying to allow for proper airflow.

• Yep! Use the basket for fries, chicken tenders or nuggets, etc. use the trivet and only the inner lid for bigger items. I just made two turkeys and a roast chicken for Thanksgiving!
