Q: QuestionDo you have to do a single layer for the air fry setting? Thinking of frying and chicken, can they just go in? I do not have an instant pot and want one, have my eye on this one

• A:Answer You do not have to do a single layer; however I have found that it crisps better if you do. Nice thing about this one is it has a basket with 2 layers for air frying. If you are cooking from raw, you can pressure cook and then air fry for the crispness in the same pan. The only drawback I have found is the top layer for the airfryer basket is a little tricky to remove when you need to turn food (technically you don't have to but I like to). I love mine and use it several times a week. This is a great appliance and I am not sure how I have managed for so long without one.

Q: QuestionDoes it make rice? I don't see a rice button, but I don't think you necessarily need a specific rice setting for it to work. If so, how long does it take for this model to cook rice?

• A:Answer you do not need a rice setting, in fact, I don't recommend it. Look for recipes online. I do: 2cups white rice, 2 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon butter or vegan substitute and pressure cook on high pressure for 5 min.

• A:Answer Great question! The Duo Crisp safe locking lid, will lock into place as soon as you turn the lid closed, and it will not allow you to open until all pressure has been released.

• A:Answer Hello Frosty. We appreciate you reaching out! You can make delicious hard boiled eggs in all of our Instant Pots. We recommend the 555 method. Place your eggs in your pot with 2 cups of water. Select the Pressure Cook function and set for 5 minutes. When pressure cooking is done, allow to naturally release for 5 minutes. Then place your eggs into an ice bath for another 5 minutes. Enjoy!

• A:Answer Hello Jack. You can use the Duo Crisp for what's known as "water boil canning". However, please ensure that you do not pressure can in this model. Pressure canning requires a minimum 15psi, whereas the Duo Crisp is only rated up to 12 psi. This means that it does not reach pressures for safe canning.
