  • QuestionWill this work on a Late 2012 Macbook Pro. It looks like the same ssd that is inside in a drive adapter now.

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer With proper adapters, in theory, the Intel 660p should slot into the Mac Pro. But, the real issue will be the interface speeds. These drives are too fast for your system. The I/O difference will cause errors and can overheat your system if it cannot correct the errors that are causing the heating issue. But, like all Apple Devices, please check with the Apple Genius'. Bios might not be able to upload certain drivers.

  • QuestionIs this compatible with the MacBook Pro Model A1417 (mid 2012)?

    Asked by Alvin.

    • Answer Alvin, The Intel 660p NVMe Drive will not be able to be installed in the Mid 2012 Model as the current interface will not allow it to mount. Also, the motherboard in that MacBook won't be able to take advantage of the bandwidth offered by the Intel 660p SSD, which is compatible up to 4-PCI Express Lanes.
