A:Answer Yes it works very well as a middle of the road setup, especially if you have some sort of boost already in your non-Z type motherboard (cannot overclock with a non-Z. ie. B365, H370, etc.). My performance for example in Gears 5, specifically on every setting maxed is right at 61 FPS, but set to performance settings gives me anywhere between 85-120 FPS.
I have not tried any 1440 gaming yet, but would assume good FPS with performance settings, which still looks great. Get a high frame rate/high Hertz (144 or more), 1080p, <5ms response time monitor, does not need to be G-sync, but helps. 23”-27”. Hope this helps.
My setup:
Motherboard: MSI B365 Pro-VH
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1650 Super
CPU: Core i5-9600k
RAM: 16GB
PSU: 700 Watt Thermaltake Smart Series
Monitor: 27” Sceptre C275B-144RN
