  • QuestionI was wondering if this cpu would be sufficient for streaming while gaming. Or should I go with something with more cores such as the i7-9700?

    Asked by Kiljoy723.

    • Answer Hi Kiljoy723, for streaming while gaming I would recommend something with more cores. If you already have a motherboard with the LGA1151 socket I would recommend the Intel Core i7-9700 processor. If you also have to get a motherboard then I would recommend the Intel Core i7-10700 which also adds hyperthreading which Best Buy has here https://www.bestbuy.com/site/intel-core-i7-10700-10th-generation-8-core-16-thread-2-9-ghz-4-8-ghz-turbo-socket-lga1200-locked-desktop-processor/6411495.p?skuId=6411495 Thank you for choosing Intel.

    Asked by Saucedo.

    • Answer Hi Saucedo, great news, your Asus motherboard 90MB0WQ0-M0EAY0 is compatible with the Intel Core I5-9600K as they both use the LGA 1151 socket. Just so you are aware it will be compatible with all Intel 9th generation processors should you decide to look at Intel Core I7 or Intel Core I9 processors as well. Looking at the specs for your motherboard it also has multiple M.2 slots which will allow also install Intel Optane memory. • QuestionWill a core i5 9th gen work with a GeForce RTX 2070 super? Is it good enough to handle that kind of gpu?

    Asked by SillyWilly.

    • Answer Hi SillyWilly, although the Intel Core i5 would work you may run into some possible bottlenecks. So we recommend you pair the GeForce RTX 2070 super with an Intel Core i7 processor to avoid bottlenecks and to get the most out of your build. Thanks for choosing Intel.

  • Questionwill this work with a b150a gaming pro motherboard?

    Asked by rugrat4x.

    • Answer HI rugrat4x, your MSI B150a motherboard unfortunately is not compatible with the Intel Core i5-9600K processor since it uses an older B150 chipset that is only compatible with 6th generation Intel Core processors. For the Intel Core i5-9600K processor you will need a motherboard with the LGA 1151 socket and 300 series chipset. • QuestionIs a gtx 1650 super compatible with the i5 9600k

    Asked by Payton.

    • Answer Yes it works very well as a middle of the road setup, especially if you have some sort of boost already in your non-Z type motherboard (cannot overclock with a non-Z. ie. B365, H370, etc.). My performance for example in Gears 5, specifically on every setting maxed is right at 61 FPS, but set to performance settings gives me anywhere between 85-120 FPS. I have not tried any 1440 gaming yet, but would assume good FPS with performance settings, which still looks great. Get a high frame rate/high Hertz (144 or more), 1080p, <5ms response time monitor, does not need to be G-sync, but helps. 23”-27”. Hope this helps. My setup: Motherboard: MSI B365 Pro-VH GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1650 Super CPU: Core i5-9600k RAM: 16GB PSU: 700 Watt Thermaltake Smart Series Monitor: 27” Sceptre C275B-144RN

  • QuestionIs it compatible with Dell optiplex 7020 462-5902 SSF desktop?

    Asked by KTB.

    • Answer Unfortunately from what I can find online, your PC has a 4th gen i5 CPU which uses an LGA1150 socket set and this CPU uses an LGA1151 socket set. I don't see the point in upgrading your CPU on your PC unless the one that is in it is broken. Might be better upgrading your RAM instead if you are just looking for a performance upgrade but you will need to research what the max upgradable capacity and speed of RAM your PC can handle.

  • Questionis this i5-9600K(P0) or i5-9600K(R0)

    Asked by NameNick.

    • Answer Hi NameNick, the only difference between the P0 and R0 is a security update that will not affect the performance or the function of the processor. If you would like to determine if P0 or R0 locate the S-SPEC number listed on the processor and I believe on the packing box as well. Once you have that, you can look up the stepping at Intel.ark.com. You need to go to the “Ordering and Compliance” area to match the S-SPEC code to the stepping.
