Q: QuestionGrandson into gaming requested this for Christmas, his parents sent the request to us. Grandson is 13 and does not have the knowledge to build a gaming PC himself. Is this item something that can easily be used in an existing gaming system?

• A:Answer This part must be plugged into a compatible mother board. You must first determine what mother board is in the PC he uses to game. If his mother board is compatible you’ll only part way there. Is the power supply compatible? Will the existing cooling solution be big enough? Your best bet is to visit a local computer repair shop that sells computers. Take them the computer and if they’re a reputable shop they’ll help you upgrade the computer. If it’s possible.

• A:Answer No. No. And no. They only time you have to get a new key for windows (if your not logging into windows with a Microsoft account) is if you swap out motherboards. If you log in with a Microsoft account - the key is associated digitally to your account, so you can replace, reformat, do anything you want - as long as you log in with the same username and password.

• A:Answer No It will not work. Most modern low to mid range laptops cpu's are soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. Sorry but that's the way it is.

Q: QuestionWould this work in an ASRock B365m Pro4 motherboard? Their (ASRock's) website seems to indicate that it would be compatible, but pretty sure it doesn't have the Z370 chipset? (uses B365 instead).

Q: QuestionI am double checking that this Core i9 will fit my lincs MB SSID: 843B, Intel H370 chipset and Socket type: LGA1151_CFL. This i9 is not actually listed on the HP website for my PC as a specific processor upgrade. Thank you.

• A:Answer I was wondering the same thing for the lincs mobo I also have. I think the i9 9900k is out of the question for sure. Though the non k version is still just 65w tdp same as i7 and i5 non k so I wonder if it would work. I think the biggest hurdle would be the Bios on this board. Hp is really restrictive with their bios. I went from i7 8700 to i7 9700. I know it’s not much of an increase in performance but I was building another computer for my dad so I figure I would use the 8700 for his system. I thought it would work as simply dropping in the new cpu but I was wrong. It wouldn’t boot at all after I put in the new chip. I had put the 8700 back in and reflash the bios to the newest version. It really was just a shot in the dark but it worked. Not sure if HP made the bios to support the i9 but I’m definitely curious. I know HP website said the the i7 9700 is the best that Lincs mobo would support but someone try it please.

• A:Answer It means it has 8 separate cores, and if it has the capability to be overclocked. in other terms it means to make the processor compute faster then its normal clocked rate. it is possible, but i would recommend having someone that is knowledgeable to do this for you. cause you could crash and damage the processor
