“how much sand do i need for this filter and what is the hp? what size are the hose connections”

• About 2 of the 50lb sand bags. It is a little about 1/2 hp and the hose connections to this pump are 1 1/2 inches. They sell fittings for it on Amazon if you need it. I had to get some because my pools hose connections were 1 inch.

• You can buy an $8 bag of sand and you'll only use about a quarter of it. it has a max line inside the pump because It's very important that you don't overfill it. The size of the connections are 1 1/2 inch but there are reducers that connect to the pool. Which I can't really tell you the size of it because you have to buy it through your pool company to properly fit. Thats how they make money off of us. But there are ways around it, you just got to know your PVC
