The Intex - Solar Water Heater Mat, is designed to increase temperature of pool water by approximately 5 - 9 degrees Fahrenheit depending on weather conditions. It is suitable for above ground pools up to 8,000 gal / 11ft sq surface to absorb sun's rays. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was extremely disappointed, I have a 1700 gallon pool and after hours it maybe brought it up 1 half a degree over ambient temperature. No where near what was claimed for 5000 gallons. The claim was for one mat which I bought yet the box came showing up to 8 mats. The one I had cut down my 1000 gallon an hour filter flow down a lot and an appreciable amount even when on bypass during the night. It was a total waste of my money.
