- Answer IOGEAR Says: The GWHDBBKIT will work with most HDMI sources including Camcorders. The transmitter does not need to be connected to a power source , it has a power adapter. For your setup the GWHDKITD or GWHD11 may be a better fit . Thank you for choosing IOGEAR

QuestionIve had for awhile and works great, but a day ir 2 ago it stopped transmitting and the reciever part makes a horrible noise when plugged in. Has anybody had this problem or know how to fix it?

QuestionI get great video but audio is some sort of digital noise. Moved the set up from outside(about 5 feet from transmitter) to an indoor room with line of sight to transmitter. No change. I’ve troubleshot cables and connections. No change. Any advice?

- Answer I think the mini jack on the box is for the extender for the remote. The audio is carried on the hdmi signal. You’ll have to pull the audio from the display device (tv or projector)

- Answer Yes, and no. You will need a lightning port to HDMI adapter, found here : https://www.bestbuy.com/site/apple-lightning-digital-a-v-adapter-white/7007013.p?skuId=7007013 Specifically that one, as you will need the additional power of the passthrough charging port.

- Answer Well depending on the distance you need to go you may consider the following type which will get you about 75 feet (60 is really more accurate). https://www.bestbuy.com/site/iogear-wireless-hdmi-tv-connection-kit-black/6214325.p?skuId=6214325 Then you won't need to power the transmitter, as it is self powered by the HDMI port. However, the power draw is about 15w.

QuestionThe unit is transmitting picture to tv. But I cannot get the FIOS tv remote to change the cable channel because the cable box is in another room. Will the fios remote work with the IR receiver and transmitter?

QuestionI want to use this to add an extra monitor for my home camera surveillance. Currently it is hooked up to my television via an hdmi splitter box. I will be hooked to an hdmi splitter. Will this work for me, also will it work without the television on?

- Answer The way I understand this equipment is it's a Point to Point type device. I'm not sure you can use it for what you described. That doesn't mean I'm right all I'm saying is I dont believe the intent is for cameras. I would reach out to the manufacturer and get their input to confirm Thanks

QuestionBought it now taking it back....................the cable for comcast comes out of the wall and plugs into the TV ......I would still need a box of some kind to use these , cable does not plug right into them ........I hate all this changing

- Answer Do you have a HDMI on cable box? Ill assume the TV does. If BOTH have HDMI the answer is YES. But only buy 1 GWHDBBKIT as having 2 will interfere with each other. That info is NOWHERE on retail box
