• Yes you can. You can stream in from a bluetooth connected device, such as a smart phone or a tablet, and record to a cassette in the boombox (or a usb stick, or a micro sd card in the boombox). As noted in a previous answer, you need to adjust the volume of the external device to get a good recording.

• yes, But i believe it records with the built in microphone. So don't expect the best sound quality and it might pick up ambient sounds in the room during the recording.
