This mount will turn from upright to landscape with simply loosening the nut on the back, rotating, and re-tightening. Im not sure if this would accommodate a flip phone but my Note 9 is HUGE and it easily holds that

The clamping arms are wide enough for a Samsung Z Fold when it's closed, but not in the unfolded position. We'd also recommend checking out our Auto Sense 2 series (available on our website), with the latest generation we added a dash mount made specifically for folding phones like the Samsung Z fold.
