You can mount this to just about any surface. It comes with a circular pad that sticks to your mounting surface and the holder suction cups to that. Make sure you stick it where you want it to be.

Please try again later.Hi Ted, the suction cup can be attached to any smooth, flat surface, so it will also work on a desk/nightstand. *One thing to note is that the Auto Sense cable has a 12V adapter on the end (for the car), so you would need to purchase a Micro USB cable to plug it into a USB port or wall adapter.
