• It should map out the new area and you can then name it 2nd Floor or whatever you choose. You would have to take the unit and physically place it there. It keeps multiple maps or at least for me it has. I suppose when charging time comes you will have to take it back downstairs or have moved the base to the second floor. I cannot recommend this Roomba enough. It has made life a little bit nicer for us! All the best!

• Yes the Roomba (as you can see through the attachments, I call mine Suki) can map out multiple floors/spaces and keep a map of each in the app.
