No subscription required. It's a very smart little device. You press the Clean button on top of the machine and it vacuums the entire floor space that it can access. It gently bumps items like furniture and then maneuvers around it. It can also spot clean--nice for small messes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No monthly fees required. There is a single "box" you can use to setup a barrier. The box has two modes. You can use the straight line mode to block off a doorway. It will setup an barrier to between it and the wall across from it that the Roomba won't cross. There is also an "arc" mode that you can use by let's say placing it between your dog bowls. That will create an arc around the bowls so it won't repeatedly ram into them. Otherwise, it has free reign of where it will go. If the battery starts getting low, it will return to base.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not need a subscription. It will vacuum in the area in which it is placed until it encounters a barrier, either stairs, walls or the electronic wall created by one of the sensors. It will wander through multiple rooms if it is not restricted by one of these methods. And since it is wi-fi enabled, it can be remotely controlled through the ios or android app as well as through Google Home or Amazon Alexa.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, there is no monthly subscription. I believe you probably saw a geek squad 2 year subscription? There isn't one for the roomba itself. And it learns your floor plan
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No subscriptions are needed. It has a bumper that tells it when it hits things. It knows where drop offs are by some kinda of laser. And it is able to circle obstacles probably laser too. It navigates well, just not effective cleaning paths. The better models have better navigation.
