Questionwhy doesnt it return to charging station when its battery is low?

- Answer When a Roomba 690 begins to return home to the Home Base it will not stop and go directly to the Home Base, instead will begin searching for the signal the Home Base puts out. While the Robot is searching for the signal it will continue to clean as it moves. The signal extends 6-8 feet from the base, once the Robot captures the signal it will begin the docking process. In some homes the Robot may move far enough away from the base that it can take a longer time to make it back to the Home Base quickly. Some times it may not make it all the way back. If your Roomba cannot dock from 5-6 feet away from the base we would recommend reaching out to our Customer Care team where we can better assist. You can reach Customer care by phone at 877-855-8593.

QuestionHow do I get my Roomba to connect to another device after it's already connect to one?

- Answer 1.Check the Wi-Fi settings of your mobile device to verify that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the robot you're trying to add. 2.Open the iRobot HOME App to review the End User License Agreement, and then select Next to confirm. 3.Select a robot. The app will search for available robots. 4.Choose the robot you'd like to connect to, from the “Detected Robots” list. If your robot is not in the Detected Robots list, you may need to re-connect your robot to Wi-Fi. 5.Make sure the robot is on the Home Base and is powered on. Press and hold HOME on the robot, until it plays a series of tones (about 2 seconds). The Wi-Fi indicator on the robot will flash green when the button is released.

QuestionWw have hard wood floors with an area rug that is 9x12 and it has fringes on both ends. Will the Roomba get caught on the fringes? Also if it is run at night downstairs and you are sleeping upstairs would you hear anything? Thank you!

- Answer Gail, it absolutely will get stuck. We have hardwood floors with jute rugs and have had to stop using the Roomba downstairs.

- Answer Best to dump holder after ever other use unless floor really dirty then ever use. The holder is not to big and if it's too full I feel it wont clean good.

QuestionI have a 6'x9' area carpet with fringes on two ends. It sits on top of my wall-to-wall carpet. Will this work okay with my Roomba 690?

- Answer Roomba is engineered to avoid tangling things like cords and shoelaces, so it may be fine with this area rug. It can depend on the weight of the rug and length of the fringes, though, so hard to say until you try. You may find you want to pick up the rug, or fold the fringes under.

- Answer the charger is meant for a 110V outlet. The battery can probably be charged on 110V or 220V but would need a different charger.

- Answer My Roomba 690 and I believe none of the roomba with the same model will allow us to control the direction from the cell. There are different model that they Can do that. However, my roomba normally cleans our rooms out very well, not with a perfect condition and directions but roomba tries to adequate its way to clean better.

QuestionHow safe is it if lamp cords etc are lined across the floor or against the wall? Will it redirect or will it get tangled on the cord?

- Answer it comes with a device that allows you to section off areas you don't want the machine to run....if they are loose cords, they will become entangled.

- Answer Yes. You can download the irobot app on your phone. Haven't tried it with Alexa yet but it works with Google assistant and Siri so I'm sure it would be compatible.

- Answer No, it shuts down when it feels like it has finished cleaning the room, or when it's battery dies. It cannot tell when the dust bin is full.
