Hello CG, All robotic vacuums need replenishment kits for routine care and maintenance. The accessories available for the 800 and 900 series Roomba include replenishments for the edge sweeping brush (the side-spinning bristles that clean along into corners and along front edge of furniture or baseboards), the dual multi-surface brushes (your main vacuum extractors), and filters. There’s also a virtual wall that creates barriers the robot won’t cross to clean, to protect pet bowls or block off a room, for instance. It’s recommended you replace the edge sweeping brush and filter every couple of months or as needed based on use and wear. The main dual multi-surface brushes should be replaced every 6 months, also depending on wear.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The side brush needs to be changed when it gets too bent or broken to sweep well. Three in the package. The filters need to be clean to enable Roomba to run well. I shake or wash the dust out if I don't have a new one. Three in package. The rollers need to be replaced when (in my case) the cat hair doesn't get removed from the thick carpet, but makes what I call "kitty dread locks". New rollers make the vacuum run like new. One set in package. I can only speak from my situation, but I presume this applies to all 800 and 900 Roombas. The filters would be needed first--within 3 months. The side brush would be needed next--within 6 months to a year. The rollers would be last--2 years to never needing to replace. I have three indoor cats that love to hang out in the big room that has a very thick carpet. They are a game-changer.
