Yes, you can manually send it home with your phone or by hitting the home button on the vacuum itself. It finds its way back home and self charges. It will also take itself home if the job is finished or if the battery gets low. Either way, it will always end up back home and fully charged next time you want to use it

Yes, after the battery low indicator comes ON, we need to press the dock button. After which it goes back to the charging station and attaches itself to recharge.

The 980 iRobot is what I have. When the charge gets low, it goes to its charging stand and puts itself back on the charger. Love that!!!! She’s amazing!

Yes, it knows where it’s home base is and will go back and charge itself.
