My understanding is that the 900 series and higher remembers where it left off when it has to go charge in the middle of cleaning. Lower models do not. I can tell you that my 960 does remember, I have not used any other vacuums.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I researched this over and over and ended up getting the 960. I loved it so much I bought a second one for the second floor. It returns to base and I don’t think the other one does.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.890 does not vacuum very well, it misses a lot. 960 does everything you will need it to do. The i7 series is nice but crazy expensive. I believe the 960 is the “best bang for your buck”.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are a number of differences so it may help to review the comparison chart on bestbuy.com or irobot.com. The key upgrade on the 960 is its Visual Navigation (camera) which allows Roomba to map your home for more efficient cleaning, recharge and resume if more power is needed to finish the job and clean in parallel rows. Both the 960 and 890 have tangle-free brushes, increased suction, Wi-Fi connectivity, voice compatibility and 3-stage cleaning, so you should be very happy with either robot!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 960 has the mapping capabilities.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had purchased the 890 first, had troubles getting it to go “home”. So we took it back and traded for the 960!! Totally happy. It gets low on charge, it returns to station and then finishes the job
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think so. The 960 has a camera in it where the 890 don`t
