A:AnswerI sometimes need to clean off the silver censors on the bottom of the Roomba and top of charger with rubbing alcohol to help make the connection better.

A:AnswerThe Roomba 960 is intelligently designed for use with one side brush module. The side opposite of the brush module holds the iAdapt Floor Tracking sensor which keeps Roomba on track even on difficult floor surfaces like carpets and rugs.
A:AnswerYes you can change it’s course and even use a sensor where you don’t want roomba to go. I used one near my xmas tree. Also our cats food water dishes
A:AnswerWE have not had any concerns with the front wheel scratching our wood floors. The front roller ball may have been bound with string or hair that inhibited its performance. I still can't imagine it would have scratched a floor as the wheel itself is rubber and non abrasive. The wheel is easily pulled out of its assembly making string/hair removal quick. It took me a while with needle-nosed pliers before I realized the wheel came apart from the stem. A much easier cleaning process after that. The three-pronged brush may also become bound with string or hair. Simply unscrew and pull up/off to maintenance.
Enjoy your Roomba.
A:AnswerNo, it will purposelessly seek it out to get stuck. This machine is not effective in its cleaning. I put the sensor up to avoid my rug, and it went after it and got stuck 3 times in less than 10 minutes. There were new batteries in the sensor.
