- Answer Hello Hector, You need the paper filter as it is intended to be used with one. Using a Roomba without a filter can cause the vacuum to stall.

QuestionMy i3 room a has went all over my house on one end, but has never cleaned the 2 bedrooms and bath just 3 feet from the base on the other end. I have run mapping, and it misses the doorway every time.

QuestionHave i3+ (3550) unit and it has not updated to the EVO software for mapping. I've done a full factory reset and just wait for it to happen. Anything else to be done?

- Answer Mine has had very little problem with the long fringe on my area rug. A couple times it has caught for just a moment, but then gotten clean with no problem. If anything, the fringe on my rug is cleaner than usual.

QuestionHow does this Roomba work on carpet that has a distinctive nap? Does it bump along or go over it smoothly.

- Answer Hello DLMS, The maximum height of a threshold that all Roomba models can transition over, when performing a cleaning cycle, is ⅝ in (1.6 cm), so if the nap is higher than that the robot will have a hard time transitioning. We do have Keep-Out zones and virtual walls to counteract situations like these, but with most carpets the robot will be able to transition.

- Answer It depends on the job. Surface, square footage, etc. play a big role. If used solely on hard floors it wont run the motors as hard compared to carpet. So more run time.
