• I have no issue with it going from my area rug back to hardwood to tile and to carpet.

• I have area rugs, door mats, wood floors and tile across my first floor. It has been able to go over all of these in one job with no issues - cleaning each of them very well.

• The Roomba i3 will easily transition between hard surface flooring and carpet with no assistance from you. All Roomba models are able to navigate most throw rugs with no issue.

• It seems to pretty well, but I have chair that has a flat base to it (Ikea "rocking chair" type thing), and it gets hung up on that, however. Overall it's pretty good at navigating those transitions as far as I've seen with mine so far.
