  • QuestionWould this work in a house with a guinea pig? I.e. be able to pick up poop and some hay (that’d be a huge bonus)

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer I owned a guinea pig MANY years ago so I'm sure it will pick up its poop as long as it's normal (for a guinea pig) and not diarrhea. The hay is another matter. As you can imagine, it all depends on the length and consistency of the hay. If it's too long or piled too high, almost no household vacuum can take stiff hay in. In this case, if the hay is relatively short (up to 1.5" or so), it should pick it up.

  • QuestionDoes this include virtual wall?

    Asked by Happy.

    • Answer The virtual wall devices are sold separately, but the control app by itself allows you to place No Go zones on the map that will keep out of places where you don’t want it to go. For example, I put one around the location of the Christmas tree on the map and it works fine.

  • QuestionWhat comes in the box for the IROBOT Roomba 6150?

    Asked by Silversurfer.

    • Answer Just the vacuum and the charging base. You will need to purchase replacement filters and brushes at some point during the first year of use.

  • QuestionCan it map downstairs and remember it and then we take it upstairs and it map that level and remember it also?

    Asked by Newby.

    • Answer yes. I have a 2 story house so I have a map for upstairs and one for downstairs. Save Bothe maps separately. After the vacuum mapped both floors, make sure you select which floor you want to vacuum before you send it again, otherwise will mess up your already saved map.

  • QuestionWhat is the sound level while vacuuming? Will past barrier markers work with this iRobot?

    Asked by Joanna.

    • Answer It is quieter than the 600 series. I also have an i3 and it sounds about the same. You wouldn’t want to run it while trying to sleep or if you want to have a conversation. The barriers I used with the 600 series and i3 both work with the i6.

  • QuestionDo you have to have internet for it to work?

    Asked by Mikayla.

  • QuestionWill this go from hardwood to shag carpet?

    Asked by GolfanDi.

    • Answer I don't have shag, but I have 4 decades old textured carpet, and my roomba has zero trouble vacuuming my floors. I also have new hardwood floors in areas of my home, and it does an exceptional job. Hope this helps.

  • QuestionDoes it work with a i Robot clean base?

    Asked by Kumar.

    • Answer Yes, it will after you add an evacuation port to the i6. That plastic piece comes in the box when you buy the charge base that sucks the dirt out of the i6's chamber when it docks to re-charge.

  • QuestionHas anyone tried this with cork flooring? Just need dry vacuum, no mopping. Thanks

    Asked by Cork.

    • Answer Hi there, we recommend reaching out to your floor manufacturer, so they can provide you with more information if the Roomba i6 can be used safely on your floor type.

  • QuestionCan the vacuum mop??

    Asked by Lauren.

    • Answer No, the i6 does a good job, but it's just a vacuum for hardwood/tile floors and carpet. Roomba has another model that squirts water on dirt and pulls it up with a "Swiffer" like disposable pad. You can see it on their website.
