This is my 3rd Roomba and I would say yes. However the auto dirt disposal is louder than I expected. Yet this does not bother me. The reason I love this new feature is because it empties directly when it’s done cleaning and when it re- docks itself to the docking station. This new features eliminates the need to dump your iroomba manually which generates the dirt into the air and sometimes all over the place while dumping it. I would recommend if your going to spend the money for one of the I7 or I9 models, spend the additional to get Auto vacuum feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would love it if it worked. Beware, though! It works for about a month, and then the unit begins to 'miss' the correct docking, and eventually, it just tells you to empty the bin.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Oh yeah sometimes my roomba will empty 2-3 times during a cycle
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I definitely think the automatic bin emptying feature is a necessity for my household. I have two dogs and it needs to empty during the job of cleaning the house sometimes twice. Depends on the season and how much the dogs are shedding. I had one without the bin empty ability and returned it. I would get dirt and dust and hair dropping out when emptying the bin on the other version. This one has bag, grab it and pop new one in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends a bit on your needs. Having the robot empty itself and allow you to forget about the bin - or disposal bag in the Clean Base - for weeks is a definite nice-to-have. It's one less thing for the robot to consider, too: since the base will both recharge and empty it, it can provide longer cleanings. It's also one less thing for you to think about as you look for a better solution to clean your home. When considering if it's a must have, maybe think about how often you vacuum or sweep and how much debris, pet hair and overall dirt removal you need.
