Yes, we have hardwood floors and a shag area rug and the Roomba has no trouble transitioning from hardwood to the carpet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not use it on Shag. Best to hand vacuum Shag with the Powerhead off. Regulars carpets and Hardwood floors combo ok for Roomba.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe. It will automatically adjust itself to do both hard floors and carpet. However, it depends on how thick the shag is. Roomba, like most vacuums doesn't do well on shag. I have two shag rugs in my home. One has slightly longer fibers. Roomba will vacuum the shorter one without problems, but not the other.
