The Roomba i7 is for both carpeted and laminate/hardwood floors. It works equally well on all floor types. We are very happy with its performance regardless of floor type.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The i7 works well on either surface since it has multi-surface brushes. I have hardwood floors upstairs and carpet downstairs. The only thing you will notice is that the vacuum is much quiter when vacuuming carpets since the carpet muffles the noise. You will need to buy the i7+ to get the self emptying capability. You can also buy the regular i7 without self emptying and later purchase the self emptier for $299.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For 3+ years the i7 worked perfectly on wooden floors for my 4500 sqft house. Then came an update in March 2023 and my Roomba hasn't finished a job yet. I see on all websites that the rating for Roombas have gone down and other brands have picked up. This explains a lot
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have primarily natural (not sealed) hardwood floors, some sealed hardwood, flat tile floors, and some textured raised tile floors in the areas covered by our i7. The i7 has had zero issues navigating different surfaces from a height or texture perspective. The “suspension” system has pretty good range or travel to it. Think car suspension system. I bet you could go from fairly high pile carpet to flat tile or laminate without issue. The motor pulls strong and is highly unlikely to get stuck under normal use. Highly recommend you get the i7+ plus, it’s worth the splurge. We started with the i7 and quickly regretted not getting the clean base unit. The bot is highly effective at routine maintenance cleaning across all surfaces, however, the dust bin is somewhat small and requires daily emptying particularly if you have pets.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My entire house is hardwood with some rugs and tile bathrooms and one carpeted closet. i7 works on all of these surfaces.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it works great on hardwood floors!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We love this vacuum. Over half the house is laminate and it does great on those floors.
