This does not do a good job in the transition area from rug to floor. It can trun up rugs and get caught. Orientalists, rugs with fringes get caught and torn off in brush roller. Happens at least 2 -3 times each cleaning over 6 rugs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a medium size rug and a shag carpet. It does the medium fine rug no problem but my shag rug that sits about 3/4 to 1 inch high it doesn’t. Which I understand and figured it wouldn’t be able to even my hand held gets caught up on it but regular carpet it does great. I would highly recommend this unit. I was hesitant at first for the price but now I have it am extremely happy with it think it does a better job than if I cleaned the house myself actually
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have hardwood and area rugs in my home. For my shag rugs, it is just too deep. This was the case for my old Roomba 980 and for the new S9+. I just use my Dyson for my thick shag rugs. For lower pile rugs, it may have have to "turn" onto the edge of the rugs slowly in order to negotiate over the rug instead of running into it straight on and causing it to bunch up and form a "rug wall". The S9 will definitely learn over time and remember where it needs to do this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the unit has no issues transitioning surfaces.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It gets caught up on my floppy bath mat and up and over my memory foam mat. So I would think that as long as the rug isn't floppy it should do just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's hard to confirm that every area rug will be an easy transition since they can vary so much in terms of height, weight, loose fringe, etc. However, the Roomba s9+ has the most suction and power so will tackle better than any other.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine transitions from carpet to hardwood with no issues. It also does the hearth rug as well the extra rugs I have under the two dog crates, assuming I have moved the crates. We have an area rug in the dining room. I haven't had a problem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IT has the smoothest transition of any robot vacuum I have ever worked with. Hands down the best!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.wood and low to medium cut carpet, no problem. in our experience it hangs up on loose throw rugs. we take them up when we vacuum. not sure about area rugs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i have tile and hardwood floor and it cleans perfect on both, however, it doesnt go over the bathroom carpet or a big carpet that i have in my leaving room area. It gets stock.
