I've run the Roomba s9 across our (soft) mahogany floors about five times. There is no need to worry about scratches. The wheels are soft rubber. The beater bar is a soft rubber-like material that doesn't scratch, same for the corner brush. It easily navigates onto, and off of, area rugs on the hardwood floors (adjusts its height) and vac's them as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is absolutely safe for hardwood. After the first cleaning, it actually looked like it polished the floors, as well as vacuuming them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Haven’t noticed any scratching on our floors at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some models absolutely will damage your hardwood floors. I say this from firsthand experience. We only ran our Roomba i9 for a few weeks, and there are now dozens of circular scratches all over the floors. I strongly advise against the use of these vacuuming robots on hardwood floors. There are also a couple of videos out on youtube that show how it leaves scratches.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased it as a Christmas gift and It’s sitting under the tree. However i don’t think it would cause damage to hardwood. Just note anything running the same path for a long period of time will cause some type of damage years to come.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, there's nothing on the underside of the robot that will scratch your floors
