- Answer The JUA354 is only compatible with Mac and Windows computers. Unfortunatley it will not work with Chrome OS.

- Answer This will likely depend on the OS on your computer. In my experience, I plugged it into my laptop, and it worked. I believe the "drivers" all downloaded automatically but it was seamless for me. No searching for drivers and downloading. Within minutes, I was using the monitor through my j5create - Male USB 3.0 to Female HDMI 4K UHD Adapter connector.

- Answer That's just a data transfer designation. Much faster than the older 2.0 The USB plug we're used to seeing, rectangle, is called a type A. The specs say you need a USB 3.0 plug on your device to transfer 4k, but I had no issues with HD out of an older 2.0 plug,and 4k for a little while, but didn't want to push it.

QuestionI'm assuming this device is using a DisplayLink or similar technology. In the past, tech like this ate up a lot of CPU resources, and were also high latency. Does anyone have any information about the latency and CPU Usage of this device? Thanks!

- Answer I am using one of these devices to provide signal to a third display (Stage Display) Via a laptop using Propresenter 6 software at our church. We've been using this device ever since this Covid-19 Pandemic caused us to resort to video streaming of our Sunday services. So far we've experienced no delays in signalling when running slide presentations as well as video. Whatever latency there may be in processing the video signal, I don't think you'll be able to notice it as it is that small. Hope this info helps.

- Answer Unfortunately this device will not work with a gaming console, as this device requires drivers in order for it to work. Unfortunately there is no way to implement our drivers onto a gaming console.

- Answer Yes, as long as the MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014) supports a USB Type-A port, preferably a USB 3.1 / 3.0. Installation of a driver is required. Drivers are located on j5create website under the Support tab. Thank you.

- Answer No, the USB 3.0 to 4K HDMI Display Adapter requires an installation of a driver and is only available on Windows and Mac platforms. You would need to go with a Plug n Play device which requires no drivers. However, depending on which model Samsung tablet you have, it must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode features to transmit audio and video signals to an available display equipped with an HDMI port. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. Thank you.

- Answer First, make sure the j5create device is directly connected to your computer and your monitor is connected to the j5create device. Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy, select the Privacy tab. Along the left-pane, locate and select the Screen Recording option (you may have to scroll down). There should be an extension called "DJTVirtualDisplayAgent". Uncheck and re-check the box beside it and then disconnect and reconnect your j5create device from your computer. if “DJTVirtualDisplayAgent” is not there that is a sign that our driver may have been blocked during installation. Please go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab. Towards the bottom do you see a message that might say "System Software was blocked from loading" ? You should see “Magic Control Technology”, or “USB Display Driver”, please allow. Depending on the OS you have, different instructions apply. ** Feel free to contact j5create Technical Support if you require further assistance. Their information can be found on our website under the "Support" tab. Thank you.

- Answer Hello Adam, the JUA354 or any other USB adapters will not work because a) it would bypass the internal GPU, and b) the PS5 OS has no drivers for such devices. Cordially, j5.

- Answer The Adapter supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz but a computer's GPU must support 4k capabilities.

- Answer The JUA354 connects to a USB-A port onto a computer and an HDMI cable to adapter then to a TV or monitor via HDMI connection for an additional display. The driver is automatically downloaded when plugged in a network environment. If the automatic download does not start, please install the driver manually on the homepage.
