QuestionDo you have to download a driver for this? I bought the J5 Usb-c Hub adapter doc for my Mac and I was instructed to call J5 if I was operating on High Sierra or higher (so annoying) and of course they are not open on the weekend (even more annoying.)

- Answer Yes, you have to download and install their driver. I would recommend against doing this. The driver doesn't use your build-in Mac video, instead it implements a "screen mirroring" method and has caused multiple problems for me. I'm using it with a MacBook Pro and am very disappointed with the product and the manufacturer's response when I opened a service ticket with their customer service department -- which was basically this: "We're sorry, but the product doesn't work for your needs." I was only trying to use it to add external monitors to my laptop while at my desk. Among the most serious issue was that I cannot disconnect the device without shutting down my laptop. NOT ACCEPTABLE!

- Answer yes. I bought this because I needed 2 additional monitors for running virtual meetings that require several apps open at the same time (i.e. zoom, ppt, excel, another software package, and a web browser simultaneously). As long as you set your display settings in windows to extend monitors, instead or mirror displays, this works like a charm.

- Answer As soon as plug in it works. We have all in one desktop. We plug 2 monitor with this adapter. And works perfect. You able to use like 2 desktop on 2 monitor. Works good.

QuestionWe used this to add a monitor as a 3rd computer display and also hooked a cable box for it to work as a TV. It's working except the only 3.0 USB port is on the front of my tower which is a bit awkward. What will I lose using 2.0 USB ports on the back?
