• A:Answer The USB-C Dock Dual 4K HDMI is compatible with M1/M2 Macs. However, the 4K30 HDMI port requires an installation of a driver to be able to run dual display's. The 4k60 HDMI and the rest of the ports are Plug n Play.

Q: QuestionDo I need to download the driver installation in general to use the dock? I’m using my work laptop and one monitor, and my work laptop blocks me from installing the driver. I submitted a ticket to get help, but can I just use it without the download?

• A:Answer This is the same situation as my wife who I purchased this for. Her laptop was set up for a docking station at work, so this was for home. The drivers installed on her laptop worked fine. Try going into display settings and detecting monitors. If your laptop has the necessary drivers, it should recognize the new monitors and act accordingly.

Q: QuestionI also have an HP. Will this work with an HP laptop, 15 dw3xxx? There's 1 usb-c port, and hdmi port, and a few regular USB ports. We have tried 4 different products. Most we can get is 1 extra screen via hdmi. We would like 2 monitors + HP as 3 separates

• A:Answer Yes, MacBook Air should support DP v1.4 alt mode and USB Power Delivery 3.0 through it's Thunderbolt 3 or 4 interface. The 4K30 HDMI port will require an installation of a driver as well. Drivers are located on j5create website under the Support tab. The rest of the ports on the Dock is Plug n Play.

Q: QuestionHad some issues with the ethernet port, which J5 tech support helped out with. However have not been able to figure why the 4k 60 HDMI port not working? I can get video out of the 4k30 cdmi port but not the other one. Anyone have same issue?

Q: QuestionSame problem. At first, everything worked and two monitors were visible. A month ago, my left-side HDMI port stopped working. Cable is good, monitor is good, drivers are up to date. Replaced with same J5 model; same problem. Lenovo W11. Help!

• A:Answer Power down your laptop and disconnect the dock. Reconnect the dock and monitors before powering the laptop back on. This ensures the display handshake process occurs correctly at startup. Uninstall and reinstall the latest version of the driver. This ensures no corrupted or conflicting drivers are affecting the dock’s operation. Check to see if there are any available updates for your computer as well. If possible, connect the dock to a different USB-C laptop that supports dual monitors to see if the left-side HDMI port works. This helps determine if the issue is specific to your Lenovo laptop. Typically, docks reserve about 15-20W, meaning your laptop might receive around 110 -115W if a 130W adapter is used. Your ROG Flow Z13 requires 130W (29V, 6.5A) for optimal charging. If the dock cannot supply the full 130W, your laptop might experience slower charging or fail to charge while under heavy use. If precise power delivery is critical, consider connecting your laptop’s original 130W charger directly to a second USB-C port on the laptop (if available), while using the dock solely for peripherals and displays.

Q: QuestionWhat frames can I expect if i downgrade the resolution on the main HDMI port? For example can I get 144hz at 1080p or something higher than 60fps?
