Yes. As long as your laptop supports a docking station, you can go into your display settings in your laptop and set what action you want it to do when you close the lid. I set mine up to “do nothing”. My laptop lives in a tray under my desk with both monitors over the desk, so I have a really clean and uncluttered desk using this docking station.
