• From what I can tell, yes. I powered a Seagate Backup Plus for Mac. The catch is that a power connector is connected to the other USB-C connector. Of course, most HDMI monitors don't draw power from HDMI. I don't know if the laptop will accept power from the HDMI port to power the laptop. Does that help?
