Thank you for submitting a question. Unfortunately, this will not. The JDA214 is intended to be plugged into a computer via USB-A and the VGA male ends and have an HDMI to HDMI cable going out to a monitor, TV, projector - it is not designed to receive a signal, but to send a signal out. You would need to use an HDMI to HDMI cable to connect from the game console directly to the monitor, TV such has the JDC52. However, the JDA213 would also work for you if you have an older monitor that supports VGA, but you would not have audio if you use VGA. ** Feel free to contact the j5create Technical Support team for further assistance or if you have any other questions and someone will be glad to assist you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on how the cable set up works. I'll try to explain how this device works and then you can tell if it will work for you. This will take a VGA output and convert it into a HDMI output. The example being you have a old computer with only a VGA output port, this will convert that to a HDMI output for a newer television. What I think you need is the reverse, a HDMI to VGA. This will take the HDMI output (I believe that's the ps4) to a VGA output to connect to a older screen. Be warned however that this conversion tends to warp the image in a minor way, perhaps my device for this is simply a cheap product but that's the trend I have personally noticed. A final note for anyone who has issues with this device for the old computer to new screen example. If you have audio issues, simply unplug the USB port and all should be dandy if you have external sound devices! This can be solved if you really need to use the tv's audio but that is a lengthy process into old windows audio...
