QuestionYou state "sweat resistant" yet the aids have an IP68 rating. IP68 is dust tight and can withstand immersion beyond 1 meter. Which is it? Asking because I have killed 4 sets of hearing aid, one set in less than a week, because of sweat intrusion.

- Answer Our hearing aids are designed to be dust and water-resistant, with an IP6X dust rating and an IPX8 water rating, meaning they can withstand immersion beyond 1 meter. However, they are not fully waterproof. To keep them working at their best, we recommend avoiding excessive dust and water exposure, including swimming and showering. They are sweat-resistant and built for active lifestyles, but if exposed to moisture or sweat, we suggest using a hearing aid dryer or desiccant daily to keep them in tip-top shape.

- Answer Hello, Penelope - Yes, the Google Pixel 8 is compatible with the Jabra Enhance Select 500 for use with the Enhance Select app, allowing you to receive remote adjustments and easily adjust your hearing aid settings. However, at this time compatibility with Bluetooth streaming (for music and calls) has not yet been confirmed, and a few other advanced features (Hands-Free Calling, TapControl and Bluetooth LE Audio/Auracast) are not supported by the Google Pixel 8. QuestionI have an old set of hearing aids (15 years)I got from an audiologist in my area. I’ve had minimal trouble with them. You said your batteries are not replaceable. I really don’t want to spend $2000 on a product that may only last 3 years. What then?

- Answer Thank you for your question. We usually recommend considering upgrading our hearing aids every 4-5 years to get the benefits of more recent technological advancements. Everyone is different, but with good care and maintenance, Jabra Enhance Select hearing aids (including battery) life expectancy is 5 years.

If you would like to receive personalized programming from our Audiology Team, you can take an online hearing test as part of your activation process when you receive your hearing aids. Alternatively, you have the option to upload an audiogram that you obtain from a local provider. If you need any with compatibility, the online test, or uploading an audiogram, you can call us 7 days a week at (800) 854-2772 to speak with someone from our team.

- Answer With proper care and maintenance our hearing aids fit very well into active lifestyles. If your hearing aids will be exposed to sweat or moisture, we would recommend using a hearing aid dryer or desiccant regularly to keep them working in tip top shape. Our hearing aids are water-resistant and can handle even prolonged sweaty conditions but are not fully waterproof.
