A:AnswerI would return it to the store and exchange it because it sounds like you got a defective product. The subwoofer should always be on with the sound bar at the same time.

A:AnswerI have all my HDMI (Apple Tv, Ps4, Nintendo switch) go in to sound bar and then one out to tv. Works great, switches between each when turning on one or the other. When watching antenna for sports or local news, it also goes out to the sound bar. I have a Vizio Tv.
A:AnswerCould be in your tv settings or the remote also has a bass volume make sure it’s turned up and use a hdmi cable plugged into a ARC hdmi plug. Good luck
A:AnswerFYI, I returned the soundbar, however, I did try some experiments before sending it back. I found that if I left my TV on (ARC out) or Direct TV receiver on (HDMI1) that the Bluetooth connection didn't drop out. So to me it appears the problem is when you only have the soundbar turned on and no peripherals. I tried a factory reset to no avail.
