It should but it doesn't According to the specs it should play stereo. But the truth is that it's only possible if you use the JBL Connect app which keeps continuously interrupting music. I have 2 identical Charge 4. Check below my tests results. TEST 1: Pairing them using the connect+ button on each speaker device they DON'T play stereo. They both play L and R channels simultaneously. So no way to play stereo without the app. Actually it's written in the manual that stereo feature comes from the app. TEST 2: Pairing them using JBL Connect app. One plays L and the other plays R channel as expected. BUT the music doesn't go directly from the player app that I use (Spotify or Soundcloud in my case), but it goes through JBL Connect app which splits L & R channels. It means it doesn't keep stereo setup when JBL app is closed, in that case you loose the stereo setup. Apart there is the PROBLEM with the music that is constantly interrupted. You can't even move yourself or even worst move a finger. I detected that the problem of interruptions in music when moving yourself is owing to that both speakers are connected to my player device (my phone in plane mode, just bluetooth on), because after pairing using the app both have bluetooth light on. Mobile managing 2 speakers at once makes bluetooth unstable. That is not happening when pairing from the speakers' connect+ button, this way only 1 is connected via bluetooth to the player device (my phone), the other is connected via internal bluetooth channel on the speakers, same that if you play music using jack input without any bluetooth device. It pairs via internal bluetooth which is transparent to the user. I'm happy with the sound, but a bit unhappy with the lack of stereo without been forced to use a third app. Hope to be of help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you use the JBL app, you can set up "stereo" and split the sound between the two.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you must have the app for the devices to do this, and it does give you that optio
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ive read people having problems but i find it works very good through the app and plays music beautyfully ... Love the stereo sound .. When you ooen the app allow time for the for the main speaker to connect as you only need and want 1 connected via bluetooth .. When the party or stereo option menu comes up waite for "stereo" to stop blinking . If you try connecting while stereo option is "blinking" it will not connect in stereo and screws it up .. If you allow the extra few seconds for it to stop blinking and its steady it will connect in stereo and remains stable without problems which many seem to complain about .. When done correctly app works flawlessly in my opinion ..The app is not required to connect 2 or more speakers in party mode and is very simple and reliable ..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to the manual, yes!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi! Yes, when the two JBL Charge 4 speakers are connected via the Connect + feature, you may be able to play the two Charge 4 speakers in stereo mode. Just make sure that you connect two identical model speakers via the Connect + feature, and you should be able to play in stereo.
