- Answer Hello, There are 5 battery level indicator led's. When all 5 are solid white the battery has completely charged. This is the battery specifications information. Battery type: Lithium-ion polymer (3.7V, 3000mAh) Battery charge time: 3.5 hours @ 5V1A Music playing time: up to 10 hours (varies by volume level and audio content) Best Regards, The JBL Team

QuestionHow do I know if my speaker battery is charging?

- Answer The FLIP 3 has 5 LED "dots" that indicate battery level. If the unit is charging, one of those "dots" would blink showing battery level and charging status. If the speaker is fully charged, all the LED "dots" would stay constantly lit and no other "dots" would be blinking. If the unit is switched OFF the LED dots will go out completely once fully charged. The FLIP 3 will show a blinking red light on the first LED "dot", letting you know that it already needs a charge.

- Answer Yes. If your iPod Nano has blue-tooth (which the newer models do), then you can connect this to your Nano that way. If your Nano does not have blue-tooth, you can always connect the Flip 3 with an auxiliary 3.5mm audio cable.

- Answer The charge in my experience has lasted somewhere between 10 and 11 hours. This was at half volume and with a full charge. You cannot replace the batteries, but I guess if you ever have issues you will need to contact JBL. It comes with a USB cable to charge it with your PC or a USB charger. You can even charge it the car with a USB Adapter, since it uses a Micro-USB cable similar to those used by Samsung devices.

- Answer It is meant, (designed) for either upright or horizontal. You'll notice that there are 3 leg like things, this is to give the bass drum space to flex so it's not actually laying directly on top of the drum. So yes. Either way is fine, and was actually designed to to rest either way! Personally I think it sounds better standing up especially on a hard surface like wood, or whatever....

- Answer I haven't weighed it but it is less than a pound. I have carried it in my coat pocket. Battery charger is rated from 100-240 volts input, 5v output. 2000 mah battery on flip2 & 3000mah on flip3

- Answer No, you shouldn't do it. If you keep the speaker plugged in for too, after a while it won't be able to hold charge anymore.

- Answer You can use the FLIP 3 fresh out of the box as there's a partial charge on it. Once the battery is drained, it will take up to 4 hours for a full recharge. The FLIP 3's battery indicator would show you that it is fully charged if all 5 lights are solidly lit. If one of those battery indicators is blinking, that just goes to show that the battery is not yet fully charged.

- Answer Yes. The speaker will ring and the music stops. I think you can even answer the phone through the speaker. I have not tried that yet.
