These are PASSIVE noise cancelling - meaning the tighter you make the fit - the better the noise cancelling will be. Active noise cancelling uses battery power to help mask sounds - the JBL Free X version DOES NOT do that. Likely you will be able to hear a little of the loud music...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use them at 24hr Fitness who plays their music fairly loud. No issues, with the sleeves on and a good fit, I cannot hear anything externally.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know that they are, but because they settle in your ears snugly, they are by default going to cut out any ambient noises.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These use silicone tips like many old style buds before it. Try using one of those to get an idea of how much sound is cut out with passive cancellation. These do not have active noise cancellation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, they are not noise cancelling. They do come with three silicon ear canal adapters: small, medium, and Large. You can block out some sound if you use a connector that fits snuggly in the ear canal. This will muffle and not canceling outside noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this model does not have a noise cancelling feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, these are not not cancelling. You can still hear ambient and surrounding noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They do not offer active noise cancellation. They do however provide pretty decent passive noise cancellation if you can get them snug in your ears.
