QuestionAre you able to use it while it's charging?

- Answer Yes. JBL Go 2 can be used while charging. This will not affect the battery since it is lithium-ion and it has a PCM circuit. The speaker will automatically switch to trickle charging when the battery is full.

- Answer The JBL Go 2 is rated 3.1 W. It is rated as an IPX7 speaker that means that the device can be submerged in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes without permanent damage, but it has not been tested against the entry of dust. The battery can last up to 5 hours playing music and this would vary on the music and genre you are listening to. The Bluetooth range is 10m or about 32 feet. The speaker sound comes from the front, and there is no built in subwoofer.

- Answer No, the JBL Go 2 doesn't have a Chromecast feature which makes it not possible to connect with Google Home.

QuestionI want to mount this speaker onto my kayak. Is there a threaded fitting on the bottom of the speaker or some way I can mount it?

- Answer No to the threaded fitting, velcro would work minus the water aspect of a kayak. Avoid a magnetic mount could interfere with the speakers coil. I'd get like a 2in harbor freight clamp drill a 1/4" hole put a bolt and a nut down then attach a cell phone or tablet clip and have that hold the speaker personally, this way I can clamp the speaker where I want, but one of the floating speakers is probably better in case the mount fails or whatever.

QuestionI am having issues getting my echo dot to see the speaker. Any helpful hints? I have tried pairing the two and also going directly to the bluetooth speaker option in devices.

- Answer You can connect the Echo Dot to the JBL Go 2. Since the Echo dot can pair to Bluetooth speakers, this should be no problem. Simply put JBL Go 2 in pairing mode and use the Bluetooth settings in Alexa app to connect to it.
