• The 3 is LOUD! and it is extremely clear. Better than the 2 hands down.

• Thanks for your inquiry. Although both the JBL Xtreme 3 and Xtreme 2 speakers have their respective strengths, the former's 2 x 25W RMS woofer + 2 x 25W RMS tweeter configuration is superior to the Xtreme 2's 2 x 20W RMS Bi-Amp in terms of delivering higher quality audio output.
