Questionlit when turned off but hot? Indicator light ON when in use and OFF when not ? GRIDDLE?

- Answer This is a gas cooktop. No indicator lights like in some induction smooth cooktops. This is also not like the original Jenn-Air modular setup. I have a griddle and use it often but place it on top of the rack over two burners and works perfectly. This is probably my favorite down draft cooktop and I have had 3 different models and manufacturers in the past. If you like cooking with gas and easy to clean... this would be a great choice

QuestionI just replaced my JennAir down draft cooktop with this. The previous one had removable trays around burner which was easy to wash and clean. This does not have any removable trays. What is the best way to clean overflow food around and on the burners?

- Answer The cooktop only comes with the motor assembly that has a 6 inch round tube that connects to the duct work. You have to buy and install the metal ductwork that connects to the motor and then exhausts outside your house. That does not come included.

QuestionWe have an 18 year old 4 burner downdraft JennAir and are considering swapping it out for the new model. Is it still going to be necessary when cleaning out the downdraft to vacuum it in there and to stretch my arm down that downdraft space with a sponge

QuestionWe have had it for 2 weeks now and realize the granite around the cooktop gets very hot. Has anyone else had the issue ? Does the stove foam tape supposed to help so the granite around the cooktop doesn't get that hot ?

QuestionWhat is the arrangement of burners and their BTU ratings? Can the left burners and right burners switch positions so that the highest BTU burner (#1) is on the lower right corner?

- Answer Don’t know BTU’s, but will tell you we had electric cooktop and we are relearning cooking as takes much less time with this. Much hotter. Burners cannot be adjusted.

QuestionI was comparing the dimensions against jennair website. Jennair's cut out dimensions are different than what you list. Jennair says cut out depth 19 15/16 in and the cut out width is 28 5/8 in. You say the cut out depth is 20 3/8th etc. Which is correct?

- Answer The cutout dimensions of the Jennair website are correct except for one thing. That only accounts for the box, The unit has hex screws on the side the protrude about 1/4 inche on all sides. So you will need to make the hole slighlty biggeror account for that when you install the unit into a counter. Ours fit snuggly in the 30 inch kitchen cabinet that we have, but the hole in the countertop had to be notched bigger where the screws went for the unit to fit.
