As stupid as this sounds coming from a brand new pair out of the box where the left earbud didnt work, I had to read and find the source of the problem..Here is what I found..

Following the paired instructions, I found that to help yet no sound in the left.. I squeezed the left bud and had sound until I let go.. I took the handle of a screw driver in the spot I squeezed a couple times and it now works without squeezing it..

It is indeed a wiring problem.. Being an IT Manager for 18 years, trouble shooting anything never required smacking it with a screw driver, but is now in my arsenal of a possible fix.. Needless, I found they are not worth the hassle and days worth time spent..

Hope this helps someone as it did me.. Mine now sit in the case fixed and never used as I went back to a cheap pair plugged into my phone that never fails..

Throw them away and get a better brand. Mine worked once with both buds, then next use, only one bud ( I thought it was a charging issue). Now nothing. I came here for answers, because, like so many companies now, you are on your own after initial set up. I'm going back to a known name brand with a history and a proven track record.

I feel your frustration. Dont buy another one until you have tried this method. I almost chucked mine. After reading all the to dos and trying each one none of the methods worked for me. I finally figured out how to pair my buds so they both work together and not just the right side. Here is what i did: i turned off bluetooth or powered down any devices that i had connected to Bluetooth with the jbuds so it doesnt have a chance to connect. You do not want the buds to connect to bluetooth while trying to pair them together. Place both buds in charging station. With the flap up start with the left bud and press and hold on the jlab icon button back of bud until you hear a beeping sound(i held it up to my ear while i did this so i could hear for the beeping sound) now do the same for the right side bud. Im guessing i help down the button for 4 or 5 seconds each. You will know that the buds a correctly paired once it says that they are now paired. I took them out and connected to my smart phone and they worked like they should right after. Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.

This is because Jlab is a terrible brand. Do not waste your money go with something that will last.
I will not buy from this brand again. I have had my beats for 2 years and my left jlab nearbud quit playing audio after two weeks!!!

Return your item I bought just 2 days ago and now one of them are not working. I checked most reviews before I buy It now I don't even trust best buy I think they are deleting bad comments. Because if it was a good product it could last at least a week.

If they are air icons- tap 5 times (they should blink white and you should hear a beeping sound also they -MUST BE ON-) do the same for the other ear bud also. Put them into the case and place finger both emblems of earbuds. (Air Icons work independently so they can only pair when in side the case) once the ear buds blink blue and white they should be paired(should only take like 5 seconds to pair not 15, also if you do this outside the case headphones -WILL NOT PAIR TOGETHER-) it took me 2 days to figure this out so I hope it helps.... also JLab vids suck in teaching you stuff... (p.s.-I did this when my headphones were not connected to my phone. They work now but it was a hassle to make them work)

Disconnect your earbuds from the blue tooth device. From your device, forget your earbud! 
1. Turn off your earbuds
2. Put them back to the charging box but leave the box open! 
3. Tapping left earbud 4 times 
4. Tapping right earbud 4 times 
5 take both earbuds out and put them down on table within 2 inches to each other. 
6 when right side is blinking white and blue and left earbud is solid white light , connect it to your blue tooth device again.

I fixed mine by returning them and getting a better quality set. Sad these dont work, great fit. Love the flexibility of the case. LEFT BUD WONT WORK. DONT BUY/RETURN AND GET SOMETHING PROVEN RELIABLE. FYI NOT A BEST BUY ISSUE. ITS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE.

my left earbud quit working too, after working fine for a little over 2 weeks. I had laid down with them in while listening to music, so I had presumed I may have broken it somehow. But, after reading the numerous other people here commenting that their LEFT ear bud quit working as well, it does seem to be a product fault. The guy with the screw driver has the right idea, lol, as the only time I've gotten sound out of my left ear bud since it went silent was when adjusting/tapping it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the spot right where to wack it for it to work again, so I have also gone back to my wired head phones that came with my phone. :( C'mon JBL, if there are so many people having the same problem, do something for us

After all of these suggestions on my 3rd time even attempting to use them, I found what works. Put them in the case, close the lid, stand up and turn around 3 times and throw them away. I will never buy Jabra anything again. It’s ridiculous that you have to spend 20 min every time you use them to try and get them paired to each other.

This product is garbage. They worked for one week then this morning I put them in and heard "Goodbye" then I could not pair them. I've tried all kinds of troubleshooting including the suggestions here but nothing works. It either won't pair at all, doesn't even show up on the bluetooth screen, or it pairs with twice, once for each earbud. So I can select one and hear only with the left side, or select the other and only hear out of the right side. My son and daughter have also taken turns trying to troubleshoot. It's been a couple of hours now. What kind of incompetent people made this? It's deplorable. I would be ashamed to make such a lousy product. This was  a Christmas gift from my husband but he's got the receipt and will return them to BestBuy tomorrow. My advice DO NOT PURCHASE. No one should have to jump through all these hoops just to use earbuds. Ridiculous.

To the person who said to press and hold while in case it works! I just bought mine a day ago and today they went out at work. While in charging case press and hold until see white light then go to other bud and do the same. Then on Bluetooth screen the air buds will pop up and you can connect it :)

I had to buy these when I lost my AirPods - now, yes, they're a hassle at times BUT DO NOT THROW THESE AWAYYYY! They serve their purpose!!! 

I had them working perfectly fine and a month later I noticed my right ear bud was not as loud and was barely audible. I searched through and through the web thinking it was a charging issue, but it just needed some quick cleaning. ALL I DID was remove the rubber coatings and blew soft and hard into the filter/ear pc until I could see thru it with my phone flashlight. Mine started working perfectly fine and have been ever since. 

No they're not Apple Air Pods, but they serve their purpose.

My left earbud quit working after a few weeks of daily use..no sound, no lights, nada.  I followed all the instructions in the manual and even some of the oddball suggestions in this post.  As one person with the screwdriver suggested, this may be a contact issue which makes this design quite unreliable.  I should not have to be tapping earbuds with a screwdriver or applying other voodoo like rubbing the buds together to make them work.  This is not a reliable product.

My earbuds shut off for no reason so after trouble sooting an reading the advice in this column and trying a couple of its suggestions I found that putting them back in the case with the lid open and not tapping but holding down on both of the icon buttons at the same time did the trick. I then pulled them out and the paired to each other than I repaired them to my phone.

Make sure the base unit is charged. Make sure the earbuds are charged. Now, my right earbud stopped working after 4/5 days. Called Customer Service Option 1 then Option 6. They said... EARBUDS NEED TO BE RE-SYNCED. 
Because of my iPhone 6plus to FORGET THE DEVICE through the Bluetooth section. 
SYNCING PROCEDURE, Left side first, hold down power button for 20 seconds, the First 10 seconds white flash 3x, the Second 10 seconds white flash 3x. 
Repeat for the right side same procedure. Replace or place or put them back into the earbud base. Make sure your Bluetooth is on in the settings. Remove them from the charging base and wait until they are DICOVERED, push the earbuds. Prompted that they are connected. 
Check via music that both earbuds are Synced by removing each one individually from each Ear and listen. If not repeat syncing procedures again.

Ok so I've literally been trying to troubleshoot this issue with the left ear piece not working. What FINALLY worked for me was...1. unpair the earphones. 2. Turn off bluetooth. 3. AND THIS IS THE EXTRA STEP...RUB THE BACK OF THE EAR PHONES TOGETHER!...when I randomly did this out of frustration i noticed that the left ear piece light went from a slow blink to a pulse. 4. Place ear pieces in charging case and keep open. 5. Tap left ear piece 4 times and it should blink. 6. Tap right ear piece 4 times and it should blink. 7. Take ear pieces out of case and pair them. This worked for me after doing the additional step. I noticed that before I did the additional step, when I tapped the right ear piece 4 times it didn't blink. For some strange reason running the back of the ear pieces together helped to re-establish a connection between the ear pieces. Now mine are working just fine. I really hope this helps as i know all too well how frustrating it can be when something you've paid for stops working.

I was having the same problem and the method to repair the earbuds together was not working after multiple attempts. I just used the right earbud for a few weeks, then one day decided to try out the left and it worked so don't throw them away just give it a week or so and in the middle of a song just put the left earbud in your ear and after " earbud joined " it should work again

There is an answer by Antonio that worked for me for Jlab Jbuds Air v1.
All other steps on the internet didn't work for me, inluding the official manual. So in short, keep the button pressed until it goes past the mixed colors step, blue and white. Get to the fast blinking all white and then repeat for the other one.
Give them a few seconds and then the right bud will blink white and blue, probably meaning it wants to pair over Bluetooth with the device. Make sure to forget them in your Bluetooth settings before all this, just in case.

If you have the air executive and your left ear executive is not working by that I mean pairing. Simply tap the right side bud 7 times to turn it off and then tap the left side 7 times to turn it off also. Once both are off just press on both sensors to turn them on. They will pair again and then turn on bluetooth on your android or iOS and scan. Select air execs and your all set. Now if your case is having issues charging your earbuds. That is a technical issue with the charger box. Good luck.
PAIRING BLUETOOTH BUDS
Step 0:Delete bluetooth and disable bluetooth on Android or iOS. Turn off.
Step 1: TAP SENSORS ON BOTH BUDS 7 TIMES TO TURN OFF.
Step 2: hold both sensors on both BUDS to turn on
Step 3: once buds are paired together both lights will be white.
Step 4: scan for bluetooth, select air executive.
Step 5: Enjoy your earbuds again.
Step 6: Help others with same issue.

try to connect them in the 15 sec process (which is 15 short seconds, not long seconds, I made that mistake myself), when doing it correctly you’re supposed to hold an earbud, PASS the blue light, PASS the blue & white light UNTIL you get to the blinking WHITE light (this is when you let go). Then you do the 15 sec process on the OTHER earbuds until you see the right earbuds blink blue and white! I should probably pay more attention, but at the same time the video should have emphasized, lots of dummies like me.﻿

We’re sorry to hear that you are having this issue with your earbuds not connecting, the problem occurs if you ever place the right in the left, or left in the right to charge. This makes them forget how to find each other. Please find the steps below on how to get them pairing back together.
1.      Remove the connection from your device
2.      Turn both earbuds off
3.      Press and hold the power button on your right earbuds for 10-15 seconds. You will see a series of indicator lights which will include a blue/white alternating lights. Continue holding the power button until you see only a fast blinking white light.
4.      Repeat the same process with your left earbud.
5.      Both earbuds will blink only white while they search for each other.
6.      Once pairing together, the left ear will show a solid white light. The right light will start blinking blue/white indicating it is looking for a device to connect to.
7.      On you device under your Bluetooth settings there should be a new connecting: JLab JBuds Air.
