Google Maps is available via Android Auto, which this unit supports. Waze is available via Android Auto as well as standalone, JVC has weblink apps, you need to download the JVC app to your phone (iPhone or Android) and connect via USB. Then you can use Waze without the need for using Android Auto, this is great for iPhone users that like to use Waze instead of Apple Maps, which is the only map available via CarPlay.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The unit wants the JVC Weblink, but that doesn't have google map app and there appears to be no way to add any apps not offered by the baseline. It does allow an interface to you phone for google maps but it doesn't display on the LCD, The product seems to have a relationship with Waze.
