I suspect water would work its way to the speaker and that probably wouldn't end well for the speaker (or even your ear!). I've worn my fit bit in the shower figuring if it could take sweat it could take a little water. Wrong. Water resistance is a vague term at best and my fitbit never worked correctly afterwards.
