A:AnswerThey cant be. The S2 stands were made for the LS50's . KEF advertises that they work for the R3's as well which is only 50% true. The S2 are the correct height but the holes on the bottom of the speaker and the S2 plate dont match up.
Ive been using "Blu-Tack" reusable adhesive strips for years. Its so sticky i can pick up the R3 speakers and the S2 stands (filled with sand) stay attached no problem.
A:Answerits possible. I would suggest looking for other speaker options if that is the goal. Most wall brackets use clamps to secure the speakers. As well as screws to hold the speaker.
These KEF R3's are heavy! at 30 pounds per speaker. I also would advise not drilling into them. Finally, i would not put these speakers too close to the wall because they are rear ported and need about 7-12 inches away from the wall to preform their best.
This is why KEF says these are stand mount speakers.
