Thanks for your question, Casper. The K-Cafe coffee maker does not use pressure to brew the K-Cup pods, which is required to brew true espresso. If you are referring to Espresso, which is pressed out at a high pressure volume producing a creme' when extracted, then no, this is not an espresso machine. It does make a good cup of coffee and has a stronger shot for espresso like drinks.

You can use special espresso K cups. I tried them, but it doesn't brew real espresso as the pressure just isn't there in this machine. So it drips the water through the espresso grounds, not really the same thing. So if you ask me, it does not make espresso.
