A:AnswerHome theater subwoofers come with their own amplifiers built in. You could use it but you would need an amplifier for home theater not car stereo. It would be a lot more complicated to wire. Probably it would be easier to remove the subwoofer out of the box and install it in the home theater box. Honestly I would not recommend car subs for home use anyway because of the many wiring complications.
A:AnswerYes the 8 screws are under 4 half moon shaped stickers they pop off with razor blade on corner. Im so lucky i ran across a forum and a guy explained screw location because 100% the rest people said start hacking away at foam ring..sucks such bad advice floating around. Remember measure twice cut once or in this case google google google. And thats my two cents. . Pics below of locations and screw its m3 hex cap screw (3mm allen) and 1.5 inch threads..mm around 38...m3 x 38mm x 0.5mm threads...thats in ballpark but maybe somebody knows more about screw thread and can help. Just have 3mm hex socket and ratchet on hand i suggest. Oh last pic of damage to cone i caused because im doing the dumb stuff my parents did

A:AnswerIf the person you are getting this for has nothing they will need a wiring kit and a Amp, at least 400-500 watts also if they have a factory stereo they will need a line level adaptor
A:AnswerYes if its the dual VC it will handle 1000 RMS ,I'm running a kicker kxa800.5 and its better than 2 10s or 12s single VC . You can't beat this compact power house.
A:AnswerProbably would work if it supports 2 ohm which I doubt it does. Best to have separate amps anyway. You need an amp that can provide a continuous 500w and peak 0f 1000w. Then the amp line level must be adjusted so it doesn't blow the speaker. I personally like the pioneer amps. They are reliable and priced well. https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Amplifiers/GM+Digital+Series/GM-D8601
Yes I am sure you can find better ones but this amp will also drive at 1 ohm. Its very dynamic and unless you are going to a competition it will make you very happy. As for the line converter, I don't know as it depends on the head unit. Good chance it would need it.
A:Answer1.2 to 1.3 cubic feet is good for a 12" subwoofer enclosure, but if you wanna get specifics here you go. https://www.kicker.com/how-to-build-a-subwoofer-box
